Note to Meineke

To: The folks at Meineke Mufflers
From: an irritated customer

I went to you guys because you're nearby and you have a reputation for competence. Not brilliance, but I don't need brilliance. I just needed my cracked muffler replaced.

It might have behooved you to make sure the parts you had on hand were the right ones for my truck before you disassembled the existing muffler.

No, I will not leave my truck with you until Monday.

No, I do not want to leave muffler-less and come back on Monday.

Yes, you will put my broken muffler back where you found it underneath my truck before you all go home for the day because you close at 2pm.

No, you will not be getting a return visit from me.

Oh my gosh, Russ.

I had the same problem with Meineke a few years ago.

I'm so sorry.

Meineke isn't supposed to close till 5, but all shops are owned by individuals- If that shop is owned by a lazy bastard, you should call their home office and complain. I've had nothing but good experience from them.

I'm having problems right now with Meineke! They really do suck! I had a break job a year ago, and a year later, I needed $700+ worth of breaks. Now, it's 3 weeks later, they are making a worse noise than before, and it's in the shop.

Do they take appointments? NO! Was I the first one in? Yes! Will I be the first in line? No! They have a fleet, yes a fleet of cars they said they do first!

They called a few minutes ago, saying "what's the problem? I didn't hear anything" Are they kidding me?

I did email head quarters a week ago, they don't care, it's a franchise.

They are horrible, horrible I say!
