The Worst Day of My Life

Ten years ago today, my Dad passed away.

It no longer seems like it was yesterday, but I remember it like it was.

I have the tape recording of his memorial service, which I've copied to mp3 format. I'll be listening to it again tonight.

Thanks for doing that for me too while I was with you. I postponed listening until today - it was a good service I think. Took Faith with me to the cemetery to place flowers - his favorite colors - red, white and blue!

A very sad day indeed--but for us more than him, of course.

You continue to be in my prayers, Russ, esp. for your health, but also, now, for the memory of 10 years ago, and the great, great memories that precede that.

John

P.S. I always thought the worst day of your life was when I visited.

No, John.

But it was the best day when you left.
