Quote of the Day

Jonah Goldberg, on the Senator from Delaware, Joseph Biden:

The man loves his voice so much, you'd expect him to be following it around in a grey Buick, in defiance of restraining order, as it walks home from school.

Mr. Goldberg has additional thoughts on the Senator, in a post entitled "Biden's Brains." Worth reading.

Biden, who at rare moments has been reasonable (when politically expedient), cannot help himself in the judiciary committee hearings. The rolling of the eyes, the "profound" enunciation of terms, the inability to ask a question and then listen to the answer, reveals the shallowness of his triumvirate purpose: 1) attempt to show some flaw in judge Roberts, for his own political gain. 2) Attempt to juxtapose Roberts to Scalia and Thomas, for his and other Liberals own political purposes. 3) Attempt to build cover for himself in the event Roberts is confirmed, whether he himself votes yeah or nay, for his own political purposes.

God forbid that he care about the future of the country.

He doesn't attempt to, but succeeds at, revealing his trite, self-absorbed, sophomoric character. But what do I know? The people of Delaware keep electing him. All I did is watch the entire Roberts hearing. I wouldn't buy ten seconds of what Biden is trying to sell.

Oh, one more thing. His hair is a bad joke.
