Ooo...my parents' cat (Sassy - a fat Siamese cat) LOVES her scratcher. She's not much for catnip toys, but the catnip in the scratcher gets to her. She doesn't even have any claws (parents adopted her and she was declawed) and she STILL scratches on her scratcher! Silly cats. Glad your Mycah likes it!
My cats "had" a scratching post, but then one day, I ummmm......well, sat on it. Yes, it broke. I must say that when I looked into my cats eyes, there was a look of "Why?"

Yep, she's a tub of goo... but a diminishing tub of goo. She was close to 20 pounds when I got her, she's down to about 16 now.
That particular photo does rather accentuate the tubbiness.
